CHRISTIAN WHITON, a principle at the D.C. International Advisory, joins Frank for a full show to discuss his new book Smart Power: Between Diplomacy and War. Christian is able to draw from a diverse mix of history, captivating personal accounts, as well as important recent events, to help convey his idea of "Smart Power". By using past examples from previous Presidential administrations, Christian is able to show successful implementations of smart power. Events such as the Cold War, not only show U.S. implementation of smart power, by also dangerous examples such as Russia, who has previously used and is currently using smart power to try and defeat the west.
