Recent attacks in Afghanistan were meant to kill Afghan security forces as well as ruin the will of the ISAF forces in country, but according to Lisa Curtis this plan backfired miserably. Pakistan is failing to crackdown on safe havens for terrorists thereby jeopardizing the US and coalition mission in Afghanistan. When will the administration start cracking down the Pakistan’s complacency?
Sexual entrapment, financial blackmail and family pressure are all techniques used in espionage and put national security in serious jeopardy. What can be done to ensure our government is giving security clearances to people who will not become subjects of such forms of blackmail? Tim Lister explains that many of the agencies that do background checks are so overworked that people are falling through the cracks. How secure is our nations’ secrets?
The situation in Egypt has gone from bad to worse since the fall of Mubarak and the rise of the Muslim Brotherhood. Caroline Glick clarifies how the Muslim Brotherhood will not work with Israel and the United States the way that Mubarak did and therefore putting Israeli security and American interests at risk. Why is Obama encouraging the rise of the Muslim Brotherhood?
India successfully tested a missile that can reach any part of China which led the Chinese to frantically discredit the missile because they have no actual response to the growing Indian threat. Gordon Chang evaluates the notion of transferring “dual usage” technology to the Chinese which they would most likely use for their military efforts. Is Obama trying to strengthen our enemies on purpose?

Is North Korea’s failed missile launch more devastating to regional stability than if the test had succeeded? According to Riki Eillison, North Korea will learn more about their systems because of that failure and will be able to not just fix the problems but also enhance the parts that did work. What will happen to the next missile that North Korea tests?
Is the government of North Sudan teetering on collapse? Andrew Natsios explains how the rebels in the Nuba Mountains are posing a real roadblock to the North’s Islamist government. How far will the North go to gain the upper hand?
Why is the Obama Administration courting the Muslim Brotherhood? Walid Phares sees this courtship as serving no purpose other than giving the Muslim Brotherhood legitimacy in Egypt and the Western world. The Muslim Brotherhood is slowly and methodically putting the pieces together in Egypt in order to solidify their power.
Who is more dangerous, North Korea or China? Gordon Chang explains the weakness in the Chinese economy, which could make them more dangerous than North Korea. Are North Korea’s actions detrimental to China or is the communist regime supporting these provocations?

What steps can the United States take to ensure their energy security? According to Robert McFarlane, America needs to create competition against OPEC to ensure fair oil prices. OPEC keeps raising the price of oil until America tries to do something, then they drop the price and people become complacent. America has vast amounts of resources that can produce fuel alternatives such as Methanol. When will America break free from the OPEC cartel?
Obama’s policies are flawed and they are destined to fail before they can even be implemented. Obama told Iran to halt their nuclear production or else; he told Syria to stop the violence or else yet he never follows through on the or else part. Obama never anticipates other countries saying “No” to him and actually forcing him to take action. Dr. Barry Rubin elaborates on the idea that Obama would rather be friends with America’s enemies then stand-up against them. Why don’t the media highlight these failures that put American security at risk?
Why is the Obama Administration siding with Islamists that are persecuting and massacring innocent people? Faith McDonnell explains that North Sudan is trying to squash any and all freedom within their own country while undermining and massacring the people of the newly democratic state of South Sudan. North Sudan is trying to bring Sharia law to Sudan and then throughout Africa, yet Obama has done nothing to protect the free and democratic South Sudanese people. North Sudan is also trying to steal oil from the south as well as preventing the south from receiving any profits for their oil production. North Sudan claims to have no money and wants their debts to be forgiven, yet they pay $20,000/month to Iranian weapons manufacturers to build them weapons so they can keep killing innocent people.
North Korea is preparing a missile test followed by a possible nuclear test and the impact on international security is not lost on Gordon Chang. He claims that America can stop these tests, despite Obama acting like there is nothing he can do. Bush put sanctions on North Korea which almost crippled their economy, if America sanctions North Korea again along with the Chinese banks that loan them money then North Korea will stand-down. North Korea is one year closer to developing an ICBM that can reach homeland America and Iran is paying close attention. They will buy North Korean missiles if these tests are successful and their scientists are in country overseeing production. Is Iran testing their technology through North Korea? How does the rest of the region feel about North Korea attempting to test a missile?

Does Obama feel he is going to lose his re-election bid therefore he is trying to bind America’s “hands and feet” with treaties that will destroy American liberty and security? In his upcoming book “Screwed,” Dick Morris explains how Obama and Clinton are creating treaties that will undermine US freedom years after they leave their posts. One such treaty is the Law of the Sea Treaty, which will force the US to share all profits from any offshore drilling with a newly created UN body. Treaties such as this will reduce American sovereignty while enhancing the power of multinational organizations. What other treaties is Obama trying to hogtie America with?
A man in Florida wants to burn some Qurans and it becomes an international scandal, but the Grand Mufti in Saudi Arabia calls for the destruction of churches throughout the Middle East and there isn’t a peep from the media, why? Raymond Ibrahim uses the analogy of the Pope calling for the destruction of mosques throughout Europe as a way to educate people as to the role of the Grand Mufti. The western media has once again failed to take an impartial role and report critical information to the masses. Why does the media feel this announcement isn’t worth reporting and what else have they missed?
The Islamic Circle of North America (ICNA) is investing $3 million into a campaign to promote Sharia law throughout the United States. This campaign is set to take hold in 25 of the largest cities in the US and they will be using billboards, PSA’s, commercials ect… to promote the message of Sharia. Now according to Christine Brim, ICNA is claiming they want to educate the people on the truth behind Sharia and combat Islamophobia, but truth is they want to promote this radical, draconian doctrine in America in order to negate the Constitution and get one step closer to establishing a global caliphate. What can be done to stop this stealth jihad?
What does it say about a government that arrests its own top officials as well as possibly assassinating those associated with them? According to Gordon Chang, it says that the Chinese Communist Party is splintering and possibly starting to disintegrate. The communist leaders are trying to hold onto power and are willing to arrest and kill anyone, even their colleagues, if anyone gets in their way. Could this be the beginning of the end for the communist party?

Pakistan is not in line with Obama’s view of a denuclearized world, they are the only nuclear country that opposed a cap on nuclear material and their nuclear arsenal is growing faster than any other country. According to Jeff Smith, best estimates put Pakistan’s arsenal at around 110-120 weapons with the ability to producer several weapons per year. Pakistan uses India as justification for a growing program, but is the Pakistani government using their nuclear program to garner favor with some nefarious groups? How does India see all this and what is their relationship with the US over Iran?
Congressman Peter King recently held hearings on the Iranian threat inside America. Iran has been “casing” potential targets inside the US, such as NYC subway and bus lines and key buildings. There could be Iranian operatives numbering in the hundreds within the US ready to commit terrorist acts if called upon by the Iranian regime and with tensions mounting, how close is Iran to giving that order? Operatives can easily enter this country through drug channels and instead of bringing cocaine with them, they can bring WMDs. DNI Clapper still holds firm that al-Qaeda is America’s #1 threat, but that is because most Americans, member of Congress and the Intelligence Community are unaware of the Iranian threat within this country. Is it smart that Obama is trying to reduce American nukes while Iran works to build one?
Iran has been at war with the United States since the 1979 Iranian Revolution, yet the United States won’t admit to such a claim. Clare Lopez gives details on Iranian kidnapping and murder operations against American civilians and even points to a December 2011 US court ruling, where a judge ruled that Iran had direct involvement with the 9/11 attacks. US leaders speak hypothetically about an Iranian attack against America, well Iran already attacked America on September 11,2001.
President Obama’s recent visit to Seoul was to acquire Chinese support against North Korean hostility. The problem is, China is not helping America but is actually working against American and regional security. Obama is not doing all that he can because he is afraid to offend Beijing. Gordon Chang explains that the Community Party is splintering and the military is vying for more power, but the party leaders are constantly reminding military officials that they are subservient to the party. Will this lead to a Chinese revolution?

The NYPD investigating mosques or the Muslim community is no different than an investigation in Colombians that might be connected to drug cartels or Italians that might be connected to the mafia. Islamic extremists are using their religion to cover-up their nefarious intentions; if you have nothing to hide and aren’t meeting with extremists than you have nothing to worry about. Asra Nomani explains that the Muslim community needs to evolve and stop with this draconian and radical interpretation of Muslim scripture. There is a battle between the radicals and the moderates and the moderates must prevail so they can create a new image of Islam, one not associated with terrorism. A change must occur, but it can only come from within the Muslim community; Muslims in America want to live within American society, not destroy it. How can we criticize those that are trying to protect us?
The environmentalist movement sees humans as vermin that are a cancer to the earth. This movement has hurt the US economy and restricted free enterprise by forcing businesses to adhere to standards that actually have very little effect on the environment. They seek to limit the production of CO2 because they feel it hurts earth, yet CO2 promotes plant life and the world has actually become more greener as a result of CO2 admissions. Robert Zubrin elaborates on how this totalitarian movement prevents exploration of new drugs and scientific enhancements to certain foods which could help poor and starving nations. Children go blind and people die because they do not receive the proper nutrition, and environmentalists won’t allow scientists to add these crucial vitamins to the food supply of these starving nations. Shouldn’t we use the environment to help make mankind a little bit better?
China is facing a tumultuous transition from the fourth generation to the fifth generation leadership, a transition that the Chinese claim is smooth and moving with ease. Although the Chinese claim this is a smooth transition, Gordon Chang sees chaos and splintering within the Communist Party. Recently, the US handed over a high ranking police lieutenant that tried to defect to America, back to the Chinese government. This lieutenant had in his possession, secret documents that show the illegal transform of money out of China by the wife of a high ranking Communist Party leader. Did America give those documents back too? Japan warns of the problems China is creating in the region and notes that America’s allies cannot handle Chinese aggression on their own. North Korea is testing a ballistic missile next month, even though they promised they wouldn’t and even though the UN Security Council banned North Korea from such tests two years ago. What is the lesson here? North Korea gets much of its technology from China which gets it From Iran therefore this is really an Iranian ballistic missile test.

As tragic as the recent blood-letting by an American soldier was, we must keep sight of the big picture. Peter Brooks said it best, “this is a snapshot of the whole movie and the movie has to come out with a happy ending for the United States.” America must prevent the reformation of al-Qaeda and other groups that want to attack America. Therefore Afghanistan needs to remain a national security priority.
Switching to the Law of the Sea Treat, Peter tries to explain why the Navy supports such an endeavor when America has triumphantly sailed the seas for centuries without being a member of LOST. This treaty concedes American sovereignty to a UN organization that will hinder US economic and energy prosperity. Finally, Iran calls for more international talks, which is obviously not a result of their new found diplomacy, but rather a stall tactic so they can finish their nuclear capabilities.
We ask our soldiers, sailors, airmen and marines to be nice to the Afghan populous, while trying to kill the enemy and it is hard for a 20 year old who has spent 10 months in country, watching his buddies get killed, to have that dichotomy in his mind. Not all the evidence has been collected pertaining to the shootings by a US soldier, but in reference to handing him over to an Afghan court, In Congressman Duncan Hunter’s words, “we are still Americans even if we are fighting in Afghanistan and our rights are protected by the Constitution.” We do not just hand over Americans to foreign governments, no matter what the charge is. This is the time when we need to turn Afghanistan into a counterterrorism mission because our soldiers cannot be scared that the Afghan’s they are training will shoot them in the back when they turn around. If we do not trust our partners, we cannot accomplish our objective.
The president claims he may or may not notify Congress before applying military intervention to Syria, and he would only do so after international approval. Since when does the American president seek approval from the UN over Congress? This is a matter that flies in the face of the Constitution and Rep. Duncan Hunter and his colleagues will not allow it to stand. Rep. Hunter is also fighting for Marine Sgt. Rafael Peralta to receive, posthumously, the Medal of Honor for protecting his men in Fallujah by jumping on a live grenade. The Medal of Honor committee denied Sgt. Peralta this award because there wasn’t sufficient evidence; Congressman Hunter has found new evidence.
Dr. Mackubin “Mac” Owens has analyzed how the defense cuts will ultimately benefit the Navy because the first round of cuts will focus on the Marine Corps and Army, but the second round of cuts will damage the Navy’s capabilities which the president claims will be at the forefront of his pivot towards the Pacific. Is Obama undercutting his own strategy by reducing the resources of the Navy while using them to spearhead his Pacific policy? The president isn’t listening to his own Secretary of Defense who says that these cuts will be disastrous to national security. Strategies without resources are nothing more than just words and so far the president is all talk but no action. At its height, the military only made up 20% of the federal budget while most the money went to entitlements. The president is still trying to expand Entitlements at the expense to our national security.
The Chinese military is getting a larger share of China’s federal budget, an 11.2% or $100 billion increase. As a result of China’s “Great Firewall,” nobody can hack foreign governments without Beijing’s knowledge therefore their denial of knowing about cyber attacks doesn’t hold water. China is trying to control space by forcing the US into arms control treaties that the US will abide by, and China will not. Gordon Chang explains how the Secretary of the Communist Party sent the military to surround the American consulate in order to apprehend a defector, which was his “top cop.” As a result of this hostile action, chances are Bo Xilai will not be promoted to a seat on the Politburo’s Standing Committee, which could be beneficial to the US considering he is one of the more radical anti-Americans in the Communist Party. China may create foreign military misadventures in order to blind the populous from face their economy is faltering. This economic slowdown could lead to more civil unrest as well as a shaky future for the Communist regime.

It would be criminal for Israel to leave their fate in the hands of another country therefore how can they allow Obama to handle the Iranian situation? The president has pressured Israel not to attack Iran until after the presidential elections and he assured Israel that he would deal with this situation and that Israel would be safe. This is coming from a man who was kicking and screaming in order to avoid sanctioning Iran, and only did so after Congress and the European Union pressured him. Obama’s track record for trust when it comes to Israeli security is lackluster at best. Vice-President Biden warned the American Jewish community that they should not make Israel an election topic because Obama would be re-elected and he would remember this, is that a threat? Israel cannot afford to wait until after the presidential elections to attack Iran because Iran is already moving critical nuclear components into a fortified military instillation, thereby making an attack more difficult. Caroline Glick gives further analysis to troubling situation.
Vladimir Putin’s recent “victory” is a bad sign for both Russia and the United States. Putin claimed 63.4% of the vote, after he essentially forced government employees and companies receiving government contracts to vote for him. Russian protests did not mobilize enough people to show Putin that he does not have the support of the populous. Putin’s vision for Russia is “state-capitalism” which means there is a level of free enterprise among the smaller businesses, but the major sectors such as gas and transportation, are in the hands of Putin’s cronies which are former KGB officers. Putin is not playing ball on missile defense, Syria or Iran and in his victory speech, he claimed that he defeated those who want to see the destruction of mother Russia. This statement is made in reference to the United States support for opposition candidates in Russia. Ariel Cohen gives his analysis on the future of Russia and the security implications for the United States.
President Obama has profusely apologized to President Karzai and the Afghan people over the accidently burning of Qurans at a US military base in Kabul. These Qurans were mistakenly burned and when the soldiers realized what was happening, they reached into the flames to pull the books out, yet our president still denounces their actions. These books were used to transmit messages among prisoners, which in Islam is a sin because no one is allowed to write or defile the Quran. These prisoners, who claim to be fighting for Allah, are disrespecting their own holy book yet no one wants to mention this. Also, no one wants to mention that throughout the Muslim world Bibles and Torahs are burned everyday on purpose but when a few Qurans are accidently burned and saved from the fire it causes a huge uproar that results in protests and killings. Now our president is even talking about possibly holding those soldiers criminally responsible and turning them over to a Sharia court; what group of people does Obama work for the Afghan people or the American people? Clare Lopez fills us in on the disturbing details.
What would happen if the Chinese economy collapsed? Recently, the Chinese Premier has lowered China’s growth from 8.0% to 7.3% which is the lowest it’s been in a decade. Gordon Chang claims “china is slowing down fast” and so far this year their growth has been limited to 0-1% which is causing civil unrest. The Communist party has based their legitimacy on economic growth and what fueled that 35 year growth is no longer there. The global market is no longer benign and the work force that propelled China’s economy has aged and is a tax on the economy is helped build. As a result, China has closed of their automotive market to foreign manufacturers forcing the populous to buy domestic cars. This has hurt foreign manufacturers who had bet on the Chinese market, but even Chinese manufacturers are hurting because people aren’t buy cars anymore do to the economic slowdown. Unfortunately, China’s military might resort to misadventures in order to deflect attention away from a possible economic collapse.
