Faith McDonnell, the director of Religious Liberty at the Institute on Religion and Democracy sheds light on the seriousness in the genocide in Sudan’s Nuba Mountains and the fight between the North and South. McDonnell goes on to explain that this is an attempt by the government to force Islamization and Arabization. Why is the government forcing its people to give up their identity as Africans? How is the U.S. responding to this crisis in Sudan?
The Muslim Brotherhood now controls the Egyptian Parliament, and is putting forth a candidate for the presidency in Egypt. Cynthia Farahat explains how this is creating a rift between the military and the Muslim Brotherhood What is the future of the Secular movement in Egypt? Is the U.S. support the Secular movement? There is a personal struggle between the head of Egyptian intelligence and the head of the military, what will the implications be of such a struggle?
Rep. Paul Ryan calls his budget plan “the path to prosperity, but it could be termed as well the path to security.” Thomas Donnelly analyzes the Ryan budget and its impact on our economy and security. Is the Ryan budget a way to downsize our government without jeopardizing our defense plan?
Dr. Zuhdi Jasser was recently appointed to the Commission in International Religious Freedom. A newlywed Muslim couple in Canada received a book as their wedding gift which conveys to the husband ways to beat his wife if she disobeys him. Tarek Fatah, a well known Canadian radio talk show host, discusses this appalling book, “A Gift for Muslim Couple.” What is Canada’s reaction to this book? This book was originally sold in India and Pakistan and was handed to young brides to instill the idea that she must keep her husband and in-laws happy, and if she does not then the husband is allowed to beat her for her mistakes. Fatah points out that this is not the only appalling book available in Islamic book stores in Canada. Is the answer to this censorship or censure-ship?
Edwin Meese who holds the Ronald Reagan Chair in Public Policy at The Heritage Foundation provides more information about the initiative he is directing about defending the identity of the voting process. He reminds us why voting is the most important liberty we have as citizens and also one of our biggest duties that must be protected from fraud and other illegal acts.
David Satter examines President Obama’s open microphone remarks to Dmitry Medvedev about flexibility over global missile defense in his second term. What is President Obama failing to grasp as far as Russia is concerned? Satter points out that Obama is failing to understand that Russians are not his friends or allies, and they would take any opportunity to manipulate the US. What is Vladamir Putin’s long term agenda? What is he trying to extract from the United States? Satter suggests that the United States should send the Russian regime a message that the U.S. will operate on the basis of facts and we are going to hold them accountable for their actions.
Jim Hanson provides an analysis of Staff Sgt. Robert Bale’s trial; the lawyer for the Army Staff Sergeant accused of slaughtering 16 Afghan civilians in a nighttime shooting rampage said on Monday the soldier has a sketchy memory of the night of the massacre. Lawyer John Henry Browne said SSgt. Bale remembers very little or nothing from the time the military believes he went on a shooting spree through two Afghan villages. Hanson gives his take on what could have happened and our military must deal with this event as well as soldiers who may be prone to these types of outbursts.

Tuesday Mar 27, 2012
Dr. Gal Luft, the Executive Director for The Institute for the Analysis of Global Security, explains how Methanol is an important form of fuel for our transportation system and our economy. Gal explains how this form of fuel can increase our national security and boost our economy yet the president seems opposed to both.
SWIFT is the international banking telecommunication company that connects banks around the world. If money is to be transferred from one bank to another, SWIFT is in the middle to either approve or deny the transfer. Avi Jorisch explains how SWIFT has put 13 of Iran’s 30 banks on their blacklist, meaning those banks cannot send or receive money outside of Iran. This will seriously disrupt the Iranian business sector and strain their economy, but what about the other 17 banks? According to the SWIFT bylaws, they will not work with any bank that is engaged in illegal activity yet the United States has proven that all 30 of Iran’s banks are in some way connected to criminal activity. Why is SWIFT still working with those 17 other banks? What affect will this blacklist have on Iran’s nuclear program?
Who is to blame for the weakening of our national security? Congressman Mike Turner believes that decision rests solely on the shoulders of the Commander-in-Chief. The president is vehemently working to denuclearize the United States as well as cut our conventional forces which signals to our enemies that it is open season on America. The president has decided to play politics with America’s security, but this is a game that we will ultimately lose. Obama is putting trust in countries that have routinely showed themselves to be untrustworthy. His radical liberal ideology not only puts lives at risk, but the sovereignty of many of America’s allies.
Andy McCarthy explains the repercussions of President Obama’s slip when he was caught yesterday on a live microphone asking the Russian president for more “space” regarding missile defense. “This is my last election” Obama continued, “after my election, I have more flexibility”. What else is the President Obama putting on hold until after the elections? Is there something else he’s willing to put aside that will risk the safety of our country? Is now getting re-elected more important that the security of the U.S.? what message does this send to the rest of the world, especially our allies?

Pakistan is not in line with Obama’s view of a denuclearized world, they are the only nuclear country that opposed a cap on nuclear material and their nuclear arsenal is growing faster than any other country. According to Jeff Smith, best estimates put Pakistan’s arsenal at around 110-120 weapons with the ability to producer several weapons per year. Pakistan uses India as justification for a growing program, but is the Pakistani government using their nuclear program to garner favor with some nefarious groups? How does India see all this and what is their relationship with the US over Iran?
Congressman Peter King recently held hearings on the Iranian threat inside America. Iran has been “casing” potential targets inside the US, such as NYC subway and bus lines and key buildings. There could be Iranian operatives numbering in the hundreds within the US ready to commit terrorist acts if called upon by the Iranian regime and with tensions mounting, how close is Iran to giving that order? Operatives can easily enter this country through drug channels and instead of bringing cocaine with them, they can bring WMDs. DNI Clapper still holds firm that al-Qaeda is America’s #1 threat, but that is because most Americans, member of Congress and the Intelligence Community are unaware of the Iranian threat within this country. Is it smart that Obama is trying to reduce American nukes while Iran works to build one?
Iran has been at war with the United States since the 1979 Iranian Revolution, yet the United States won’t admit to such a claim. Clare Lopez gives details on Iranian kidnapping and murder operations against American civilians and even points to a December 2011 US court ruling, where a judge ruled that Iran had direct involvement with the 9/11 attacks. US leaders speak hypothetically about an Iranian attack against America, well Iran already attacked America on September 11,2001.
President Obama’s recent visit to Seoul was to acquire Chinese support against North Korean hostility. The problem is, China is not helping America but is actually working against American and regional security. Obama is not doing all that he can because he is afraid to offend Beijing. Gordon Chang explains that the Community Party is splintering and the military is vying for more power, but the party leaders are constantly reminding military officials that they are subservient to the party. Will this lead to a Chinese revolution?

By U.S. law, Congress has mandated that the administration condition military aid to Egypt on observance of human rights. Secretary of State Hilary Clinton was able to waive this requirement in order to send over a billion dollars to the Islamist Muslim Brotherhood by citing national security. This is in spite of gross human rights violations against Coptic Christians and other Muslim and non-Muslim religious minorities. Former Congressman Fred Grandy joins Frank to discuss this and the plight of the Coptic Christians in Egypt and the non-indictments of Palestinian terrorists freed in the Gilad Shalit trade.
Former Reagan National Security Advisor, Robert McFarlane talks energy, gas prices, and the vulnerability of strategic oil refineries to terrorist attacks. Find out what the realistic alternatives are and what it would take to get fuel choices to the market place.
It seems that the Pope does not plan to visit with dissidents during his visit to Cuba. Such an action would give de facto political legitimacy to the Stalinist regime in Cuba. Former Assistant Secretary of State, Roger Noriega, lays out the consequences. He also discusses the state of play in Venezuela and the latest on Hezbollah’s ever increasing presence in Latin America and now in the United States.
Bill Gertz of the Washington Times and the Washington Free Beacon, reports on rumours of a coup in China, U.S. failure to prevent China from obtaining our missile technology, and the future of U.S. nuclear testing.

US Navy Vice Admiral (Ret.) Robert Monroe, an expert on nuclear matters, points out the grave dangers of reducing our nuclear forces by about as much as 80%. Monroe points out that while the United States’ current administration is determined to reduce its nuclear forces, North Korea is planning a launch of a ICBM which will soon have the capability to reach the U.S. Iran is aspiring to obtain nuclear weapons to destroy Israel and India and Pakistan are using their nuclear forces to confront each other. Is it advisable for the United States to decrease its nuclear capacity? Will the United States have sufficient forces to deter countries such as Iran and North Korea? Monroe lists what the United States should be doing to remedy this situation.
The Center for Security Policy held a conference in Chicago entitled “Faith Under Fire” and Illinois representative Joe Walsh was one of the many guests in attendance who affected by the stories he heard. It is frustrating that Washington cannot do more to protect religious minorities in the Middle East, but even when they do the Obama Administration issues an executive order that waves off congressional oversight. Secretary Clinton waved off the suspension of military aid to Egypt where Christian minorities are being persecuted because she claims that aid is of national importance. Isn’t religious freedom of national importance too? Congress must have the muscle to go after the administration for allowing aid to continue. Obama is forcing Congress to increase the pressure on presidential powers. Not only is Secretary of State Clinton using her position in a manner that is detrimental to the United States, but so is Attorney General Holder. He is failing to go after terrorists who attack Americans abroad. The administration has not gone after or even prosecuted a single Palestinian terrorist who has killed an American citizen. Finally, veterans are being sent to the back of the line when applying for jobs and using their military training in the civilian world? Who gives better training than the US military?
Andy Nagorsky discusses his new book “Hitlerland” on how people who brought Hitler to power failed to see the evil to come. He applies the scenario of Germany and Hitler’s rise to power to the rising prominence of Sharia law. Are we failing to see the same evil that is becoming more prominent around the world? Nagorsky states that we cannot underestimate the threat of a rising spread of Islamism and Sharia.
Dr. Barry Rubin, professor at the Interdisciplinary Center in Israel, joins us to examine the recent events in France where a self proclaimed jihadist killed nearly 7 people. Dr. Rubin moves on to explain the threat such Islamists pose to the Middle East, Europe and the U.S. and what the administration can do to mitigate such threats.

Claudia Rosett analyzes the UNESCO relationship with the United States Government. Rosett take us back to President Reagan’s decision to stop funding UNESCO due to the high corruption inside the organization, and why President Bush decided to support UNESCO in 2003. The U.S decided to withdraw their funding to the organization (22% percent of UNESCO’s core budget) after it voted last October to confer membership to the Palestinian Authority. What are the real reasons for UNESCO to seek United States funding? What would they use this money for?
Mark Thiessen examines the five real risks to the United States if it loses in Afghanistan. The drone war in Pakistan would stop, the Taliban would be free to reconstitute themselves and take control of the Pashtun area in Pakistan, Al-Qaeda will regain its sanctuary, Al-Qaeda and other groups would be embolden to strike against the United States, and finally it would send a sign of weakness to the enemies of the United States, especially Iran. Considering these disadvantages, should the U.S. withdraw from Afghanistan or should they maintain presence in the region?
Kevin Freeman explains the economic war between Iran and the United states over the price of oil and the repercussions this have on the Iranian and American economies. Iran has the third-largest oil reserves in the world and pricing oil in currencies other than dollars is a provocative move aimed at Washington. If Iran switches to non-dollar terms for its oil payments, there could be a new oil price that would be denominated in euros, yens or even the yuan or rupee. Iran already started to talk to India over how they can “trade” oil for rupees.
Even more surprisingly, reports have suggested that India is even considering paying for its oil in gold bullion. However, it is more likely that the country will pay in rupees, a currency that is not freely convertible. The United States needs to find a solution to this economical warfare in order to avoid spending excessive amounts of money in a battle we could have won.
Jim Hanson assesses Vice President Biden’s recent comments about the air strike that killed Osama bin Laden. Vice President Biden at a fundraiser in New Jersey said “ the bin Laden raid was the ‘most Audacious’ plan in 500 years.” Hanson moves on to Afghanistan, and examines the drastic consequences of having to obtain advance notice (warrant) from Afghan judges to carry out night raids. How does this jeopardize the troops? Would this compromise our ability to capture terrorists?

Tuesday Mar 20, 2012
Congresswoman and former Presidential candidate Michele Bachmann joins Frank on today’s show to talk about the Iranian threat in light of her recent meeting with Israeli Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu. She describes the important role of research development and technological advancement for the Israeli defense.
Joel Himelfarb of the Investigative Project on Terrorism gives his take on the “Arab Spring." In a May 19, 2011, President Obama appeared to liken the revolution in the Middle East to the American Revolution, the Civil War, and the American civil rights movement. Unfortunately, the reality on the ground is very different. A close look at three Arab countries where veteran tyrants were push out during the past year—Egypt, Tunisia, and Libya—shows that liberal democracy advocates and religious minorities have been broken down, while Islamists have been substantially strengthened.
In 1970, a comic strip coined the phrase “we have met the enemy and he is us.” Andy McCarthy explains how this phrase couldn’t be truer or more meaningful than in today’s political environment. The Marines at Camp Leatherneck were ordered to disarm in anticipation of Defense Secretary Panetta’s visit; this could have had dire consequences. What is the rationale behind ordering American troops, in a war zone, to disarm especially when such a high-valued target like Secretary Panetta visits? Did we not think the Taliban would try to launch an attack?

The NYPD investigating mosques or the Muslim community is no different than an investigation in Colombians that might be connected to drug cartels or Italians that might be connected to the mafia. Islamic extremists are using their religion to cover-up their nefarious intentions; if you have nothing to hide and aren’t meeting with extremists than you have nothing to worry about. Asra Nomani explains that the Muslim community needs to evolve and stop with this draconian and radical interpretation of Muslim scripture. There is a battle between the radicals and the moderates and the moderates must prevail so they can create a new image of Islam, one not associated with terrorism. A change must occur, but it can only come from within the Muslim community; Muslims in America want to live within American society, not destroy it. How can we criticize those that are trying to protect us?
The environmentalist movement sees humans as vermin that are a cancer to the earth. This movement has hurt the US economy and restricted free enterprise by forcing businesses to adhere to standards that actually have very little effect on the environment. They seek to limit the production of CO2 because they feel it hurts earth, yet CO2 promotes plant life and the world has actually become more greener as a result of CO2 admissions. Robert Zubrin elaborates on how this totalitarian movement prevents exploration of new drugs and scientific enhancements to certain foods which could help poor and starving nations. Children go blind and people die because they do not receive the proper nutrition, and environmentalists won’t allow scientists to add these crucial vitamins to the food supply of these starving nations. Shouldn’t we use the environment to help make mankind a little bit better?
China is facing a tumultuous transition from the fourth generation to the fifth generation leadership, a transition that the Chinese claim is smooth and moving with ease. Although the Chinese claim this is a smooth transition, Gordon Chang sees chaos and splintering within the Communist Party. Recently, the US handed over a high ranking police lieutenant that tried to defect to America, back to the Chinese government. This lieutenant had in his possession, secret documents that show the illegal transform of money out of China by the wife of a high ranking Communist Party leader. Did America give those documents back too? Japan warns of the problems China is creating in the region and notes that America’s allies cannot handle Chinese aggression on their own. North Korea is testing a ballistic missile next month, even though they promised they wouldn’t and even though the UN Security Council banned North Korea from such tests two years ago. What is the lesson here? North Korea gets much of its technology from China which gets it From Iran therefore this is really an Iranian ballistic missile test.

One of the most fundamental rights that the Constitution supports is religious freedom. Throughout the Middle East and Africa, religious minorities are being persecuted and therefore are fleeing their native lands. What can the US do to ensure religious freedom throughout the world? Fred Grandy explains that the US needs to acknowledge the persecution and refuse to work with governments that do not protect freedom of religion. Is the right to religious freedom in America under attack from Sharia?
Americans are feeling the effects of higher gas prices; which in turn is making them question the energy security of the United States. Sarah Steelman talks about how the Obama Administration is failing to do what is needed in order to separate America from foreign oil and to promote energy security within the US. As a result of relying on foreign oil and an aging infrastructure, President Obama is essentially ignoring American energy and economic prosperity. When will he wake up and realize we must be in control of our own energy and our own economy?
Gal Luft piggybacks this topic with his analysis on the need for an open fuel standard, which would give the consumer choices as to how to fuel their automobiles. If this is such a security necessity, why is the president failing to act? It is easy to ignore rising gas prices when you drive around in a motorcade that is fueled by taxpayer money.
Louis Farrakhan spoke at UC Berkley recently and told the African-American students not to become friends with Jews because they were behind African slavery. This bigoted accusation is completely untrue and hypocritical. Charles Jacobs explains how there is still African slavery going on today, but the perpetrators are mostly other Africans and Muslims. Farrakhan claims that African-Americans should convert to Islam because it will set them free, yet he hides the fact that Islamic countries are enslaving Africans, even African Muslims.
